If someone has recently being diagnosed with diabetes type 2, but is not taking any drugs, but trying to control with diet and exercise, how long does it take for the side effects to come out?
Will someone for certain suffer from the side effects? Thank you for your answer.

Long term side effects of type 2 diabetes
by: Reham

Since my mother was diagnosed with diabetes type2 few years ago, she has been controlling her diabetes through diet and exercise only; this way seems to work effectively for her. Her doctor has encouraged to continue like this. I hope she will not have any complications (as her doctor called them "long-term-diabetic-complications"), like retinopathy, neuropathy, nephropathy, heart disease and so on.

Her doctor also mentioned that all these side effects will come out if she would not be able to control her blood sugar levels, and the diet and exercise schedule she is following would not give results.

I hope the same for your mom too, and please try to convince her explaining the gravity of her situation if not doing anything in time.
