QUESTION: I started with a 10.9 and within 3 month I was down to a 6.8. I thought I was doing good. Now I am having a major problem with my feet and hands going the sleep. I am getting depressed.

I know people that do not even test and eat all the wrong things and they do not have as much problems as I have. I stopped my metformin, and started on natural herbs.

Please help I do not know what to do at this point. I am scared to death that this disease will kill me.

ANSWER: Hi there,

First of all, you have to relax, because the panic will not help you at all.

Next, I have to tell you that I haven’t understood your problem with the hands and feet. So, I will ask you to tell me what you are feeling, is there a pain, numbness or something else. Are you able to move your limbs, is it difficult for you to move them. Please describe your exact condition, so I can help you with this.

  • Regarding the control of diabetes, I have to tell you that a blood glucose level of 6.8 is something very good and you have to continue with the efforts.

Under efforts, I mean that you have to continue taking your medications, along with the diet, exercises and herbs. If your doctor thinks you must take medications, please do not stop them on your own. Consult with your doctor first.

Regarding the herbs usage, you probably know that the most effective herbs are cinnamon, bitter melon and gymnema sylvestre. Actually, their usage in diabetics has been shown very effective.

  • Other thing, which you have to know is that you have to pay attention only to what your doctor is telling you. Every patient is unique and in different cases diabetes requires different approach.

  • Besides this, the depression is something normal, when you don’t know what is going with you. So, first thing, which you have to do is to relax, as I already said. You can try chamomile tea to help you relax and do not have sleeping problems. Some people find valeriana tea or pills to help them naturally relaxing.

However, in either cases, you need to work with yourself. Follow the right steps to keep your blood sugar within normal ranges, and you will see improvements.

At last, could you please tell me exactly what you are feeling and to continue with the herbs, diet, exercises and medications.

I’m waiting for you to tell me what is going on.

    DISCRIPTION OF THE MY PAIN
    by: Anonymous

My hands and feet goes to sleep very often during the day and at night. I cannot hold anything for long in my hands. My feet feels tingling sensation in them. My arms somethings have pains shooting down to my hands and my fingers hurt all the time.

I read that a B12 shot could help. I am trying to do my very best with diet and exercise. i read all kind of good materials all the time. i sometimes get conflicting information. The advise about the herbs seems to be consistent. I will not give up this soon.
